Wisebird Bookery + a Book Swap

I recently joined my first blog swap. Have you ever heard of that?
Basically, I filled out a quick form and then I was given a lovely partner to chitchat with. We answered each others' questions and scoured each others' blogs, then we picked out books to send each other!
I got my partner's book from Wisebird Bookery in Ogden, Utah.

These photos are all from right before Christmas. We were in Ogden and saw it so decided to check it out. They were actually closed, but since I wasn't going to make a purchase they told me just to come on in for a few minutes while they closed some things up. So sweet!

Inside is Grounds for Coffee, a local chain I've seen in a few different northern Utah towns. I'll write more about them some other time but for now I'll just say that they're most definitely quite yummy!
I picked her book and bookmark up while they were open, then mailed off a few Utah Truffles because everyone should try Utah Truffles.
Sunday I ran by the post office and was so happy to see that my package from her had arrived too! Look at what a sweetheart she was, really overdid it!!
I can't wait to get started on these!

  1. Right off the bat, I'm impressed. There aren't many stores who will allow a potential customer in if they're closing up shop. They simply can't be bothered. The little coffee shop and tables would do me in if I had a shop like that around here. I would go missing in there for sure.

Great swap goodies! That was a fun swap to participate in. :)

    1. I know! They had actually BEEN closed for like ten minutes but she was taking out some trash so outside when we pulled up. She apologized and I said it was no big deal, I was just excited to see a bookstore so pulled in, and she said "Oh well you can just come in and browse if you want. We're closing up but at least you can see it that way!" Super nice, eh?
It was so fun! I am glad I did it! =]

    1. I love it! I wish I could go sit and write in there every day... but then it might lose its magical feel, I don't know.
