Check Out This Place!

Sunshine in northern Utah, hadn't seen that in quite some time!
Finished reading Songs of the Humpback Whale by Jodi Picoult, did lots of prenatal yoga because my back and hips hurt all the time, finished reading Baby Laughs and ate the same lunch over and over and over again: Carrots & ranch, two deviled eggs, cheese, green grapes.
Songs of the Humpback Whale was really slow to get into at first. I was kind of bummed to read it through the whole first 50 pages or so, but then it got good. It was definitely not her best, but it was one of her first and it was still pretty darn good.
Baby Laughs was a very fast read, quite funny and informative in an honest way. I think if you liked Belly Laughs you'll like this one just as much.

  1. I found Songs of the Humpback Whale to be totally different from most of Jodi Picoult's books. She got much better later than that one, I think!

    1. Agreed! Very different! Have you read Picture Perfect? That's another early one but I liked that one a lot.

    1. Oh I know! I normally like all of those things but not usually together!
She's actually written quite a few. I also really like Louder Than Words, her story of her son's Autism diagnosis.

  4. Mmm now I want to make some deviled eggs! I eat at least two hard boiled eggs a day, but rarely take the time to make deviled eggs. Have you ever tried it with avocado instead of mayo? I've been doing that the last couple times and it's AMAZING if you like avocado! For 5 eggs I use half an avocado, maybe a little more, until it's the same consistency as regular deviled eggs.

Ahh. I want to go back to san Francisco! I think I just want to get out of Flag!

    1. I can't stand avocado these days but I'll have to try that some time! I normally love it!
I definitely get that. I'm feeling that winter slump I always get about this time of year... I'm ready to go play outside, outside doesn't feel like playing with me.
