RVing Logistics Qs

Sara Lane in Ogden, Utah.
I think.
I may or may not have been lost when this photo was taken.

Good morning!
Last night I had a very interesting dream. I'm not going to be making this dream a reality but I think somebody should!
I had a tattoo of the US outline on my back and made an appointment in every state I visited to get the tattoo of said state filled in by an artist there. In the dream I finally got North Dakota filled in at, wait for it, 72 years old!

Here are a few more of your RVing questions answered!

What do you do about going to the bathroom and taking showers?
We have a toilet and shower/tub in here. Ryan is a little tall for the shower so he always walks down and takes his showers at the ones provided by the park, but I just use the shower in our own bathroom. I was also able to fit in the bathtub cross-legged until my belly started to get too big.

What are your favorite and least favorite things about living in a trailer?
My favorite things are the ability to so easily pack up and go, and the low costs that allow us to travel more.
My least favorite things are the heat/cold and how cheaply so many things in here are made! It's hard to keep pipes thawed and the inside of our little home warm when the high is always lower than 32! The electricity and propane required to heat this place up can get a little pricey, but definitely not as pricey as it got in our two bedroom condo in Prescott!

How do you manage while pregnant?
I just do!
This would probably be a little harder if we'd just moved into here, but I'm used to it... and trust me, if you'd lived in the Winnebago for any span of time you'd find this place to be a luxury too.
I don't think there's really anything I could do in a "real" home that I can't do in here, with the small exception of the bathtub.

  1. That tattoo dream is amazing! I keep playing with the idea of getting the US outline tattooed on me, but I have yet to commit. It would be my first (and last) one, but I haven't been able to pull the trigger yet!

    1. How big would the US tattoo be if you got it?

    1. It would definitely be an impressive piece, considering it'd be done by 50 different artists! You could always get other countries done when you visited them too.

    1. Aw, thank you!
And I agree, someone should definitely do it even if it's not me!

    1. In my dream it was on my upper back, where your peace sign is, and I wore a lot of halter tops. =]

  5. That tattoo would be awesome. I mean, tattoos kind of are mementos of different parts of your life. At least, mine are. I can easily remember what was going on in my head at each stage based on the tattoo I got at that time.

    1. Ha ha, yes it is! =]
I bet it would be pretty cool. One of our friends in AZ does tattoos so I probably would have had her do my Arizona one. Boy, would that have been an expensive piece! Based on what I know about most places charging that typical hour rate even if it's small, that's like a $5,000 back!

  7. You are so much tougher than me. I think I went camping in our little trailer once while pregnant, but that was certainly enough. The freedome of being able to go anywhere must be just great.

    1. Oh thank you! =] Ha ha, it is definitely hard some days but in general not much harder than an apartment would be. Yes, that freedom is so wonderful!!
