Check Out This Place 39!

This is the real reason maternity pants don't have a zipper... you would never know if your fly was down!
Baked cauliflower & cheese with the two books I finished this week; loom knitting birthday gift project; grainless coconut pancakes (Found via Steffani) and scrambled eggs with bacon, onions, bell peppers & cheese.
Divergent is yet another young adult dystopian novel. I did like it, but I admittedly flip-flopped on it a bit. It wasn't the Hunger Games, you know? I do still recommend it though, especially to those who enjoy any kind of dystopian fiction. It is thick but still a quick read so don't let the size deter you, 300-pagers!
Stunning is one of the latest (but definitely not the latest) in the Pretty Little Liars series. I'm really ready for this series to be over (so I can watch the TV show, mostly) but I do love it and this one did not disappoint!
Now, check out this place!

Christine shared such a beautiful link on Twitter this week, a marriage proposal caught in front of the northern lights. The actual proposal starts around 1:50, but the whole video is pretty if you've got an extra two minutes for it!

Jenni and her husband had a little cabin getaway in Fredericksburg recently and these two posts from the trip make me jealous!
-
Pamela recently shared the cutest Tennessee Christmas adventure and I see Tennessee a little differently now!
-
When you think of Korea, do you think of snow?
-
Luana recently check out the Hoover Dam. I've seen it several times crossing over the Arizona-Nevada state line so I tend to forget that it isn't something everyone sees in their life!
-
Two places I'm excited to see while in Utah: City Creek Canyon (video plays metal music)and Zest Kitchen & Bar.

Yesterday I told you about my 50 state tattoo dream. My pal Naples Sara found a pretty cool blog post for me, one in which a girl with a goal of seeing all 50 states gets a flag tattoo of each state she's visited! We aren't sure whether or not she does the tattoos in that state, but still! Check it out here.

Don't forget to snap a few snowy photos for my next Your Town feature this weekend... and make it a goal to donate to Sandy Hook this weekend! Send cash if you've got money... and if you have time but no money, consider earning a few Swagbucks to donate! If you use my referral link I'll get additional bucks through you joining and will donate all of them to the cause! So far this month I've donated 850. I'm hoping to get to at least 1,000 by the end of the night on the 31st!

  2. i had to stop watching PLL on tv, because it reminded me of a soap opera. nothing ever seemed to happen. it was driving me crazy. but i would probably read the books, because at least then there would be an end in sight....and i would find out who A was.

but i've read interviews with the stars of the show that said they didn't even know who A was. and that the script was much different than the show. but isn't that usually how it goes?

    1. The books are very dramatic so I could definitely see that!
And sorry to break it to you, but there is definitely no end in sight with the books either ha ha. The series completely ended twice, then started back up again because a NEW person would get angry and become their A! So now we're on the third A and who knows if the series will actually end this time! There are now two books in a little sub-series from it so it's doubtful!

    1. It's so easy! I learned how to do it within probably one hour last year using a friend's instruction book. So fast and fun!

  6. I loved Hunger Games, but I really loved Divergent. I love them both for different reasons. I recommend jumping into Insurgent (the second book, if you plan on reading it) right away because it literally picks up where Divergent ended. I can't wait for the next book to come out.

And the Tennessee post! We've been to the Apple Barn and Dixie Stampede (we're also season pass holders to Dollywood - we live about 3 hours away). We love Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg! You definitely have to check it out in the future. :)

    1. I'm curious, did you read Divergent or Hunger Games first?
I always get burned out if I read a sequel/series too quickly so I'll have to start on Insurgent after a few books of varying genres!
How fun, I thought those looked so neat! I would definitely love to see the area... and the Nashville area too, of course! =]

The cabin getaway looks fun. I'm sure there are many cabins like that here...Vince and I need to find one to stay in!
