Good morning!
If any of you have ever asked me how I save money, you know I've referred you to The Money Saving Mom.
I'm a huge fan of Crystal and all that she's taught me to keep our little family on a good budget. We're paying down debt, saving up savings, traveling the country cash-only, and overall feeling more financially free thanks to Crystal.
I raved about her budgeting book, and I've also guest posted for her before on how I purged our stuff to move into the Winnebago, and on eating gluten free on a strict budget.
When Crystal announced her new eBook, 21 Days to a More Disciplined Life, I was really excited about it. I don't know about you, but I certainly have more than a few areas I can use a little more discipline. When she offered the opportunity to be an affiliate (which means I make a small commission on each book I sell) I jumped at the chance!

| What the... Ryan's Super Mario fruit snacks?! What are those doing there?! |
I read this short little book and really liked it.
Per one of the exercises, I wrote down a list of habits I'd like to change/implement. The first habit I decided to work on was going to bed with all of the dishes done every night.
I know this is a no-brainer for some people, but it just isn't for me. After dinner I want to relax and wind down, and dishes always get left to be taken care of the next day. That's not very fun for me in the morning, and it just doesn't look good to wake up to. I'm now making a habit out of finishing up all of the dishes before bed and I'm so excited get started on some of the other habits I wrote down too!
The book was released today and will be on sale for $.99 today through Thursday... and then on Friday it goes back up to $4.99.
If you're interested in it, I'd definitely recommend you buy it now while the price is right!

I'm not allowed to buy those Super Mario fruitsnacks because if they are in the house I'll eat the entire box in one go:)
ReplyDeleteI also have a problem doing the dishes every night. And every morning I kick myself when I see them in the sink:(

Yeah, I definitely understand that logic... we have two bags left and I just got them yesterday! It wasn't all me though, at least!
DeleteYes, isn't it awful?! I don't care when I go to bed but I'm so irritated by it when I wake up!
You are so adorable. Good luck with the discipline, I think I need to reevaluate things like this in my life as well.
ReplyDeleteAw thank you!
DeleteOne of these exercises encourages you to make a list of the habits you'd like to change/implement and my list was so HUGE! =/
You had me at 'traveling the country cash-only'. Those super mario gummies look really good. I got a bad habit on munching on gummies. You look great in the picture. Are you aware of the gender yet? Do you want to know? As I was looking through your previous post I notice you had a few pictures of baby clothing but I couldn't figure out the gender (I assume boy, but I could be wrong). I love the sign in picture. I have never seen that before.
ReplyDeleteThank you!
DeleteNope, it's too soon to find out the gender just yet but we plan to wait a while any ways. =]
Isn't that great?! I actually saw another one at our mall tonight!
UGH DISHES. I hate them. I wish it wasn't so bad for the environment to just use paper plates every night! Vince and I switch off dishes every time, and I've been awesome at doing them right away, but he has not. On my 'turn' I'll do dishes right after making dinner, before we even eat, so that after I just have to wash what we used for eating. So much easier and it allows time for the food to cool down. Vince, however, waits DAYS in between so we use like all of our dishes. I just bought the book for my Kindle, so maybe I should have him read it?
ReplyDeleteSo fun that you got to park there! I wish there were places in Flag that had that!
Ha ha, that's about what would happen when we used to take turns and then Ryan would try to convince me that it was my turn. We both hate them. I do them all now that I'm home all day though, and especially since he's working 50-60 hours a week AND taking five online classes! I can't wait for him to be out of school, sigh.
DeleteAnd thank you for buying it! See? I can always count on you! =]
I know!! I had only ever seen one at a Babies R Us before, but last night I saw one at our mall and I parked there instead of where I usually do. It was actually really good because I felt super tired and achey and crappy last night.
You are so brave for traveling around in a trailer while preggo! Respect! I don't think I could do that right now
ReplyDeleteWhy thank you! Most of the time it's not really a big deal... but there are definitely days I question my sanity! ;]
