Weekend Review

This weekend Ryan washed our windshield.
The Casper leaves started turning yellow!
Saturday's Bountiful Basket: carrots, lime, avocado, bananas, tomatoes, yams, zucchini, apples, honeydew, pears, collards.
At-home prenatal yoga class courtesy of Youtube!
Ryan's mom found an old family history book and one of Ryan's ancestors lived at 901 W. Yellowstone Hwy in Casper. We had no idea until now! We of course had to go check it out. It's a hotel now, but Ryan's mom and grandmother think it's possible it always was since he and his son at some point ran (and possibly owned) a hotel here. It's a small world, eh?!
Also, a poll.
I have decided with absolute certainty I'll never post Baby Bell's real name or face... but that doesn't mean I can't share fun pregnancy/parenting stuff every now and again, yeah?
So. This is a travel blog, not a mommy blog. Some of you probably read Mommy Blogs, some of you may despise them. This will never really be a Mommy Blog, but I'm curious just how much pregnancy/baby you'd actually like to see. This poll is anonymous so be as honest as you'd like please!
*Oh, and a tip... this was one of the only good free polls I could find so ads to pop up on it. If one pops up on you, hit the tiny X in the upper corner, NOT "Remove Ads" because that'll just take you to the page where you purchase their package and create ad-less polls.

  1. Looks like we all want baby stuff Sara. BRING IT ON.

And man, now I'm considering the conventional box for next time. The peaches I got were bad when I cut them open (though good enough to freeze for smoothies) all the plums are getting wrinkly and soft after a few days, and we got way to much lettuce! I guess I can get conventional and if there are things that i would never eat non-organic (mostly just brown potatoes...those things are so awful with pesticides) I can just give them away and have it still be worth it!

That's so cool about the hotel! I love genealogy/family history so that stuff is always fun to see.

    1. Ha ha, well it's all that's on my mind these days so that should be easy!
That's awful! =[ You should contact them and let them know. Maybe they'll at least give you a small credit towards your next box or something, I don't know. I've never had to do that but you should definitely be compensated for it, I think!
I agree about potatoes. There are a few things I don't like to eat conventional, but certain things don't bother me at all... like bananas, things you peel like that. And the rest just depend. I'd rather eat conventional than none most of the time, but I still skip the ones I'm not okay with.
Isn't that great?! Ryan's mom did find out that they at one point ran a hotel in Casper, possibly owned it, but she's not able to access Natrona County records. So I'm hoping to be able to dig up a little more information on my end, but we'll see what happens.

    2. They sent out a survey the next day and I told them about the peaches, but maybe I'll let them know about the plums. There were 7 plums, and they can't expect us to eat those and peaches in a day or two!

And yes, I'd rather eat any veggie/fruit then none at all!

    1. Well it looks like I'll definitely be sharing!
Yes, we were trying. I was taking pregnancy tests at the same time each month so the test knew I was before I did. We actually shuffled into the bathroom that morning assuming we weren't and then woke right up! I feel TERRIBLE right now and throw up all the time, no cravings yet!

    3. Eh, at least it's for a great reward! Most women I've talked to have said they pretty much woke up the day of their second trimester and felt great... although a few unlucky ones just felt icky the whole time.
Yes, we are so very excited!!

    1. It happens! I am always afraid of becoming one of those bloggers who doesn't talk to any of her readers so I try to comment on everybody's blog at least every few months... but sometimes it really does take me a few months to get to everyone and I'm like, "Wait, you got married?!!? When did you get engaged?!" lol.
Thank you ma'am, it's unanimous at this point so I will definitely be sharing a little pregnancy/Baby Bell here and there!
