Weekend Review

This weekend was a fun and lazy one. I did some chores and swimming, a little bit o writing, a little bit o pizza-ing, and a lotta bit o this stuff:
Saving CeeCee Honeycutt while eating popcorn and crying because I now have a Lifehouse station on Pandora. Is there a band that makes you cry every time you hear them? For me, it's Lifehouse.
Yay, time to start knitting Christmas projects! Have any of you ever tried loom knitting? One of my Prescott kiddos' crocheting mama introduced me to it and I'm in love. It's so fast and easy! If you like to knit or crochet I strongly suggest that you at least give it a try, but I don't think you'll be disappointed. I might exclusively loom knit!
Pistachio protein "frozen yogurt."
Basically, add protein powder to pistachio pudding, whip well, freeze. Enjoy.
You're welcome.

  1. The pudding looks yummy! Can't believe it's still warm enough for swimming for you, it's been dipping down so much at night I can't even think about it here. Ah yes, Lifehouse! Chicago for Now Sara

    1. It is, it's delicious! I'm all out now though, so I'm probably going to make a chocolate version tonight!
It's not warm enough daily, and we have a heated pool here, but I've mostly been swimming at the indoor pool where I've been doing water aerobics classes. =]

  2. Whaaaaaaaaat, pistachio pudding is my favorite, and I've been buying pistachio gelato that is amazing, so I'll have to try that! I might leave out the protein powder though...ever since I had the flu in January and drank protein powder, I get nauseous thinking about it! But frozen pudding sounds delish.

As far as loom knitting goes, I love it! you should post about the project you're working on now...it looks fun! I haven't done much aside from hats and scarves on it, so I want to try other stuff!

    1. Oh yeah, I keep meaning to buy that gelato! It always slips my mind though. Luckily I have tons of Larabars nearby to keep my mind off it.
Also, you've been nauseous since January? Maybe you're pregnant! Like real, real pregnant.
I will definitely post about the project in just a few days. Do you have any of the loom knitting books? There was a clearance section and Hobby Lobby and I lost my mind. I got three of them! There are all kinds of awesome projects in them, shawls and gloves/mittens, stuffed animals, bags, laptop case, and stockings really similar to the ones I made last Christmas, with the diagonal stripes running down them!

    2. You so have to buy it soon!

And yes, I'm about to pop! =P

I don't have any of the books because they don't even sell them at Michaels or JoAnns! But I'll look on Amazon for some...now I'm so excited! What ones do you have that you'd recommend?

    3. I have and like all three of these, but probably the top one the best:
