It's the first official day of Autumn, y'all, and I couldn't be more excited! I am ready for boots and scarves, soup every night, walking around downtown with a hot chocolate in one hand and my husband's hand in the other, and a sweater-clad baby bump.
Deanna is hosting her Fall Fashion Week this week and I am excited to participate, at least to some extent, and share some of my favorite fall clothes and accessories with you!
We have been taking belly pictures every week since our positive pregnancy test. I'll share them all at the end of each trimester, but for now, here's my week six outfit
Sweater: Hand-me-down from my husband's grandmother
Belt: Sears
Jeans: Target
Boots: Savoini's Western Wear (Prescott, AZ)
I am by no means a fashionista, but I like my clothes and find them to be a good mix of comfy and cute, so there ya go.

Halloween
A Texas trip

VERY cute! You've got the 'glow' ~8 days! Sara
ReplyDeleteHa ha, thank you! That's right, it's the glow! =D
DeleteI'm so glad you're playing along with a baby bump! Bumps can be harder to dress but the payoff is amazing, as evidenced by how adorable you look. I love that you have a hand-me-down from your husband's grandmother. That's so sweet!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I don't really have a bump yet, but my waist is definitely a little thicker and that's making some clothes fit a little more snuggly. I'll be cheating a few of the days to combat this funky stage!
DeleteCongratulations on your pregnancy! Comfy is the way to go on most days! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you very much! I am normally a dress girl, but lately I've been more of a pajama girl. It just takes so much effort to change clothes in the morning! =P
DeleteOoh, that's cute!
ReplyDeleteThank you! =]
DeleteThat is a fantastic sweater! I love that it belonged to your husband's grandmother.

Thank you! That seems to be everybody's favorite part! =]
DeleteYou look adorable! I'm so excited to read more about the bebe :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! I am so excited to talk about it! =]
DeleteYour grandma has style! I love the cute boots, and the picture isn't ridiculous...it's "artsy" :)
ReplyDeleteOh thank you ha ha.
DeleteIn that case, we took it like that on purpose?
=]
I just finished watching 'what to expect when your expecting" if you and Ryan haven't seen it rent it! Sooooo funny and cute! I laughed and cried (and I'm not the pregnant one ;) well done all around movie. ~Chicago Sara
ReplyDeleteHe he, we have gotten that suggestion so many times this week! We actually saw it in theaters because we were talking about starting to try for bebe when it was out, but now it's at the top of our Netflix queue again. =]
DeleteThat outfit is so fall...I'm excited!
ReplyDeleteAnd my goodness, you are going to be such a cute pregnant lady!! I'm so excited for you still. And probably always will be haha
It was warm again later and I had to change shirts ha ha, but I'm excited for it to STAY fall!
DeleteDid you notice I'm wearing PANTS in this picture?!?! I even bought maternity jeans, although I only have two shirts so I doubt they'll get too much use.
Thank you! I'm so excited and will be so excited and happy and emotional for you when it's your turn!
I love how blogging has made us all so creepy! I mean, sometimes I have been reading a girl's blog for like two weeks and I start crying because I'm so happy for her. In real life if I'd known someone for two weeks and they cried and jumped up and down and hugged me I'd be pretty concerned ha ha. At least you knew Ryan and Shannon and I knew OF you in real life before we "met" online! I don't feel like quite so much of a creeper with you, ha! =]
You'll be needed more clothes soon enough!
DeleteI totally cried again when I was telling Vince and he was just laughing so much. He was like, "Are you sure you're not pregnant? You're pretty emotional right now." So I'm glad you also see that as not creepy haha I don't think I'd even cry if any of my RL friends got pregnant! And that's true, I somewhat knew you before!
I have been collecting maternity clothes with my free stuff coupons since we decided to start trying. I have four dresses, leggings, the jeans, a sweater, and four shirts. (I forgot about two I ordered from Walmart for $.16 the other day!) I'm pretty much set ha ha. I also have so many baby boy and baby girl clothes I didn't pay much for, I'll share those some time soon.
DeleteHa ha that's so funny. I know I'll cry like a baby when you are though. I always cry when my blog friends announce it and you're definitely my closest so it'll be a full on sob-fest over here, especially with all my crazy hormones. I actually had a dream about it the other day... but it was kind of weird. We were sitting at a coffee shop with our babies. One was a boy and one was a girl, but I didn't know which was yours and which was mine! I mean, when I was conscious I realized I hadn't noticed. I cried when I told Ryan and he just shook his head and smiled ha ha.
I've got some baby clothes but haven't actually looked for maternity clothes, except the ones I like and can wear now haha
DeleteBut hopefully that boy is mine! Vince and I really want a boy!
Do you have gender neutral baby clothes or just boy and girl stuff? I have three gender neutral things I've picked up in the last two weeks, all yellow with duckies, and Ryan doesn't like them and thinks duckies are not okay for a boy. He says, "When is the last time you saw me wearing a yellow duck shirt?" Touche, Ryan.
DeleteAnd Ryan will probably fight you for rights to a boy ha ha. I used to only want a boy (or two boys) too, but once we started talking about trying I started noticing little girl clothes and cute little girls out-and-about and decided I don't care either way... besides, they'll both be terrifying as teenagers. =P
Some of both! If I get if for free or it's super cheap, I won't pass it up and can always give it away. That's so funny about the duck comment from Ryan, but honestly I think it'd be fine either way!!
DeleteUltimately I know we'd both be happy with either sex. We just want a baby! hehe
Ha, exactly! I recommend signing up for the mail and e-mail deals for JCPenney and Kohl's. I always use their $10 rewards, plus Macy's since we have one here. Also, Victoria's Secret for free undies. I never buy undies!
DeleteAnd speaking of free stuff, I have a pair of size 8 maternity jeans that will no way fit over my big ol' hips. Will they fit ya? I know they might be a little short, but if so, you could always just roll em up into capris or cut them into shorts if the hips and butt will fit!
Ahhhhh I'm so happy and I can't wait! But I will. =]
I've signed up for Kohls but I didn't know Penney's had one too! I'll go do that. And I need to sign up for Victoria's Secret. I remember my sister always getting them and I'd just forget!
DeleteAnd I think size 8 would work! I'm generally around a 7 so I'm sure I'll go up a couple sizes when I'm pregnant. I can pay for shipping and whatnot if you want to sell 'em to me!
And I can't wait either. Doctors appt on Tuesday so I'll know then if we can start trying!!!
Nah, don't worry about it. I have something else I wanted to send you any ways. I have the truck tomorrow so I've made myself a note and I will ALLEGEDLY take it to the post office tomorrow!
DeleteAHHHHHHHH yay! Congrats and good luck! I'll leave you alone about it now and you can just talk about it when you want to but I won't bug ya about it. =]
=D Thanks! And I have a feeling I'll email you right when I get home! =P
DeleteYAY! Also, bad news. I threw up in the middle of Target this morning and was super embarrassed so drove home crying and did not go to the post office. I'm hoping to make it over before my water aerobics class though!
DeleteMy first reaction was laughing, but now I feel bad. That sucks, and I don't blame you for going home! I totally would!
DeleteYou laughed, eh? I'll keep that in mind!! =P
DeleteIt was so humiliating. It was right in front of the bathroom door, almost made it, but they have to follow a certain clean-up procedure so they wouldn't let me clean it up myself. And worse, everyone in the bathroom was stuck in there until they got it cleaned up. I was so humiliated! Luckily I had just had a crazy hypnotic moment and bought a bunch of baby pajamas so they probably figured I was pregnant, but still.
I feel a lot better now so I'm definitely going to go to the post office before class! =]
Well I definitely wouldn't laugh if I were in that situation. Maybe you'll laugh about it later?! It would suck though and would be so embarrassing! At least you can use the excuse that your pregnant, you'll get more sympathy hehe And I'm glad you're feeling better!
