Check Out This Place 23!

Admiring Casper's gorgeous autumn changes, watching What to Expect When You're Expecting for the second time.
We love this movie and are considering buying it.

Skate Creek in Washington seems so fun and lovely! (As does Elizabeth)

Colorado Springs is practically the only place in Colorado we haven't checked out and these outdoor adventures there look great!
-
Camille's Mexico pictures make me picture the country in a whole new way.
-
This video is almost five minutes long, but it makes me so excited to see Salt Lake City, Utah!
-
I love this single-image post of a gondola in Venice. Someday I WILL see this!

PhoBookClubbers, I will be out of town on the 30th so we're moving our discussion to the 2nd. If you haven't finished the book (or started even, it's pretty short!) here's a little extra cushioning for ya!
For those of you wanting to get an early start, our October book is What Alice Forgot, which takes place in Australia.
Alice is a happy newlywed who faints while working out, only to wake up and discover she's actually lost years and is divorcing her husband. She can't remember anything between those two times and hopes to piece it all together and fix her marriage before it's too late.
What Alice Forgot: hardcover, paperback, Kindle, audiobook

  1. Haha I was kind of iffy on "What to Expect.." Definitely had cute parts but the dialog between the "young" couple actually had me facepalming several times.

  2. I loved What To Expect When You're Expecting! I got it for free from Redbox and was expecting it to be bad because I don't like J-Lo or Cameron Diaz. Fortunately, they weren't 'main' characters (I wouldn't say any of them were main since they all had equal roles) and I loved it.

The Incline in Colorado Springs looks like something I'd love!

What Alice Forgot is on the shelf at the library, so I'll have to go pick it up!

    1. I am not a Cameron Diaz fan at all but I love this one. I think Elizabeth Banks' character is my favorite of the ladies but I really love all the dude's group scenes lol. "My kid ate a cigarette." "Your kid ate a cigarette?!!?" "It's really not that uncommon."
I know, I would love that! Maybe someday I'll have a little dare devil to go do it with!
I'm really excited for this one but I have a feeling it's going to be really emotional.

    2. Ya I think Elizabeth Banks' was my favorite too. They were all ust so funny. And the guys scenes had my laughing SO loud I kept waking Vince up! He fell asleep a few minutes in and now I want to rent it again and make him watch it.

    1. There's a new show coming out (or maybe it's already come out now?) called Guys With Kids and we want to see it so bad, reminds us of Dudes Group. The trailer scene showed a guy washing his baby in the sink and a friend said that was a great idea. "I know!" he says. "It came to me while I was washing off a turkey after I dropped it on the floor." ha ha.
I know, gondolas are so romantic and have been on my list for years and years!
