A Glimpse at Prescott... Part 3!

Oh my goodness gracious, Blogger was driving me crazy yesterday! Am I the only one?!
This week has been a pretty good one... work has been a teensy bit more stressful than usual, but I've done some bike riding and took a kickboxing class, plus I have Zumba scheduled for tomorrow and I took a client on a walk so I feel good about my exercise goals.
Yesterday Ryan was off early and my day was nuts and my schedule changed 30 times, so we were able to take an hour and a half together for a downtown date day!
This is a sign for The Raven Cafe, where we ate... I forgot to take a picture of the restaurant.

This was the sign they gave us for our table.

It was gorgeous outside so we ate on the upstairs balcony.

Ryan had the Raven Burger and I had a marinated mushroom sandwich. I took Ryan's feta cheese and put it on mine. They were both on gluten free rice bread and served with GF paprika fries.

They were both tasty.
Side note... look at how tiny that sandwich looks compared to Ryan's big ol' mechanic hands. Those sammiches were actually pretty big and I even took a little more than half of mine home with me.

While we waited for dessert, Ryan challenged me to a lemon duel.

I lost.
Also, I would like to request that you post a photo of your lemon face today.
You may call it Lemon-Faced-Friday.
Leave me a comment letting me know that you did it. I'll laugh hysterically at your face for a few minutes, then post a comment that says "Oh wow, you're so beautiful you even look good with a lemon face."
Afterwards I'll probably laugh again.

Finally, our dessert came!

The Raven always has two GF desserts, dark chocolate mint mousse (amazing) and something else which I haven't yet tried. Those desserts are always $6, so I like to check in their special dessert case each day too to see if there's anything GF that day. Today they had GF coconut macaroons, which I have always loved, so we decided to try one.

It. Was. DELICIOUS! And only $2.

They also have four different GF beers there, but Ryan didn't get any this time.
FYI, one is called New Planet and it is the worst thing that has ever happened to anyone, GF or otherwise.

After that we walked around downtown a bit, over to what is affectionately called The Square.

City Hall

Then we went into the kind of souvenir shop that is typical for Arizona and suckers tourists into buying things made of turquoise and tons of cowboy paraphernalia, even though probably only like 1/8 of the Arizona residents are cowboys anymore.
I consider myself a cow boy who is neither a boy or a person who has cows. I leave that part out though when I tell people about myself. That way they never question my sweet cowboy boots.

While in said shop, we discovered this $10 ornament which we think someone should buy us at Christmas.

Here are some pictures of Whiskey Row:

If you ever come to Prescott, you have to see Whiskey Row and you should DEFINITELY eat at The Raven if you're GF. Maybe even if you're not.

Also, here's an Arizona sunset photo taken at the wrong shutter speed with the wrong ISO through the tinted windows of a moving car.
Something about the streak of headlights and taillights makes me love this photo though.
And that is why you should hire me to photograph your wedding.

Speaking of which, next week I'm taking some pictures of a cute new family (baby is only three months old) and using 10% of the proceeds for Joliann and 5% for Wrapped With Hope.
I'm hoping they'll let me put up pictures for you!
